Families and seniors alike are struggling with surging taxes. Stoughton taxpayers are now responsible for THREE major debt excluded tax increases. Did you know your annual property taxes have been steadily increasing because your annual home value keeps increasing. Leadership has made no effort to curb the spending or taxation. Despite massive revenue growth, elected town officials chose to place the financial burden on you the taxpayers with a completely unnecessary tax hike. The new growth generated by commercial revenue is permanent revenue which could have paid for latest building project without cutting budgets to town programs, departments, payroll and still had money left over.
